Hi! I’m Madison (Madi works too) and I’m a brand strategist based in Canada. My excitement for great design and clever branding (and background working in event and conference management) led me to finding the thing that I truly love – delighting the customer.
Yes, I know that sounds insane. Having grown up working in my families service business, I learned the true value of making your customers feel seen, heard, and delighting them through providing great hospitality in every step of your relationship with them. Through my love for helping great brands become even better, I bring a unique skill in combining hospitality, design, and strategic thinking to build brands that delight.
More About Me
Having grown up in a mid-sized city in Canada where it was -30 C eight-months of the year, coupled with being raised by entrepreneurs, I developed an innate sense of curiosity in business and for other countries and cultures.
Attending business school for my undergraduate degree, I developed an interest in global financial markets, specifically emerging markets in SE Asia. In my final year of university, I attended the NUS Business School at the National University of Singapore to study Asian markets and deepen my understanding of the cultural context of dealmaking in Asia. This opportunity was the highlight of my education, and allowed me to explore the region in both an academic sense and a touristic one, exploring nine different countries on the continent.
Upon graduating, a change in personal circumstances brought me back home to Edmonton, where I joined my families business full-time to aid in reconstructing our internal strategy upon the companies 25-year anniversary. Over the course of 15-months, I learnt more about dealmaking, product development, hiring and firing, and developing an understanding of your customer than I did in my 5-years of business school. My most exciting project while at BUKSA was developing and launching a new product, the Attendee Management System.
Since I was young, I have always been fascinated by the expatriate lifestyle and have dreamt about living and working abroad. Later this year I will be relocating to London, UK to do just this. I look forward to expanding my brand-building experience, and developing my global perspective that will aid brands I help in the future.
